Black smoked oak – is an oak wood after specific chemical processing. Parquet frieze is placed in a special chamber where it is treated with ammoniacal gas under pressure. As a consequence, the colour of the whole section of wood is changed and starts to resemble exotic wood.  Physical parameters of wood are modified in this way as well. That is why, comparing to a normal oak it is more stabile and moisture resistant (by 40%). Smoked oak is a wonderful alternative to dark types of exotic wood.
